For Ukrainian people football is much beyond than just an entertainment. Fans are accustomed to their teams winning, to Ukraine reaching the finalS of the European Championship, to Dynamo and Shakhtar reaching the CL playoffs, to competing with top clubs and national teams. Ukrainian players have accustomed their fans to this, but the war and its consequences may put a cross on Ukrainian football for decades, if not centuries. One of the main goals of the project is to understand on the example of international cases how not to lose the future generation of players who are refuggees, and were forced to live outside of their country. What can be done to revive Ukrainian football? By learning from international experience, Ukraine aims to rebuild its soccer infrastructure, nurture young talent and create a modern, inclusive environment for the sport to flourish again.
